FlashForward: I Think I Know Why The Black Out Happened!

After watching the second episode of the new television show “FlashForward”, a theory started forming in my mind as to the reasons for this mysterious black out. I know, I know, it’s too early to try and predict anything without making a complete fool out of yourself, but I thought I’d give it a try.

I thought that perhaps this isn’t the only time the “blackouts” take place. As we follow along, they will occur more often, with each one progressively deeper. There seems to be a group of people who are either coordinating, causing, or simply observing this phenomenon. If we assume a group of people is somehow responsible for the blackouts, it begs the question of, “what’s their purpose?”. I think, assuming a group of people is responsible for this, that their purpose is to correct the human course to self-destruction. Their ultimate goal is to “FlashForward” our minds two, perhaps three hundred years into the future, to show us that a cataclysm is inevitable unless we change our future.

I may be way off base with this one, but at least I tried, right? Please let me know what you think? Or if you have some different theory.
